He most recently served as CFO of a Chicago-based toll road concession company where he led the financial planning, reporting, treasury and compliance functions, including oversight for the company’s capital structure.

Prior to that, he was corporate controller for a real estate holding company where he led the financial reporting and consolidation function for the company’s owned and managed parking asset portfolio, consisting of more than 100 locations.

Casper started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the financial statement audit practice after receiving both his bachelor’s degree in business and master’s degree in accountancy from Miami University. He is a certified public accountant.

“We are extremely pleased to have John join our leadership team,” says Tom Knauff, CEO of EDP. “He is a seasoned financial executive who is well equipped to help us efficiently and effectively continue to grow EDP’s business. We are confident John will play a valuable role as we further expand EDP’s footprint from coast to coast.”

Chicago-based EDP provides propane service to residential, commercial, industrial and agriculture customers in 16 states. The company ranks No. 9 among U.S. propane marketers for sales of retail propane gallons, according to LP Gas’ 2022 Top Propane Retailers ranking.
