Faces & Places: December 2025

Seen at the Crossroads Propane Expo & Conference earlier this year in Galveston, Texas: Warren Van Wyck and Warren Van Wyck Jr. of Energy Tech Solutions.

Artificial intelligence (AI) was front and center at the National Propane Gas Association’s fall meeting. This panel, composed of, from left, Taylor Alexander of Global Gas, Freddie Ridler of Rural Computer Consultants, Nathan McShinsky of Eastern Propane & Oil and Steve Gasser of Vivid Image, covered AI’s use in administrative tasks, operations, customer service and marketing.

Mark Leitman, right, is an 18-year veteran of the propane industry, including stints with Blue Star Gas and the Propane Education & Research Council. Living in the Cleveland area, he is currently an energy consultant, also writing articles on agriculture for LP Gas. Editor-in-Chief Brian Richesson caught up with him.

Nancy Coop, right, is retiring at year’s end after 20 years in the industry. The LP Gas Hall of Famer has spent the past six years with Cetane Associates. She’s honored by Whitney O’Toole and Women in Propane here.

Suburban Propane teamed up with the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and the Women in Trucking Association to host “Trucks are for Girls: Fueling the Future,” an interactive STEM and leadership event at the company’s Whippany headquarters. The program introduced Girl Scouts to various careers.
