The first Young Professional of the Year Award Reception honored five nominees, from left: Curtis Sobottka of Ferrellgas, Garrett Sager of Henley Propane, Joseph Figueroa of Ferrellgas, Allison Platz-Velazquez of Delta Liquid Energy and Barrett Conway of Cetane Associates. Conway won the award, which was presented at the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) Southeastern & International Propane Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Blue Star Power Generation, a subsidiary of Blue Star Gas, and EC Power signed a distributor agreement. The partnership will enable Blue Star to incorporate EC Power’s XRGI25 – a 24-kilowatt combined heat and power system – into its product offerings for customers. Rural Computer Consultants (RCC) and Vivid Image received the Summit Emerging Media Leader Award for the “Making Propane Sexy” marketing initiative. Shown here are Freddie Ridler of RCC and Heidi Arndt of Vivid Image. Ridler, head of business growth for RCC, had been looking for ways to shake up the industry’s image. He sought something bold, memorable and fun. His team released the phrase at the 2022 Propane Expo. Vivid Image helped RCC develop the idea into a full campaign.

Kevin Morgan of Rinnai joins a roundtable discussion on heat pump solutions during the Propane Expo. The discussion centered on how heat pump solutions can help protect and grow the residential market.
