NovaCool, manufactured by Baum’s Castorine, is a fire-suppression foam mixed with water and UL-classified to extinguish Class A and B fires, including pressurized and 3-D fires. It can also extinguish Class D fires. The company says the product is cleaner, greener and cheaper than other foams, and is a cost-effective and efficient way to extinguish fires and protect surrounding property during a fire. The foam also minimizes the risk of fires re-igniting, the company adds. The product uses concentrate of as little as 0.5 percent for Class B, 0.4 percent for Class A, biodegrades rapidly and is not bio-accumulative, the company notes. It’s available in 5- and 55-gallon drums and 265-gallon totes.
