GEC names outstanding service honorees, awards recipients

Gas Equipment Co. (GEC) honored employees with individual and team service awards for outstanding performance during its annual meeting, which was held virtually from multiple remote locations due to the pandemic.

Among the recipients was the company’s Indianapolis location, which was recognized as GEC Branch of the Year.

GEC named Todd Meyer salesperson of the year. Meyer, a field sales representative, services northern Missouri, Iowa, northern Illinois, Wisconsin and Nebraska territories from the Indianapolis warehouse, as well as the Kansas City and St. Louis warehouses.

In addition, Cody Patrick received the award for salesperson of the year for industrial markets. Patrick services industrial gas accounts from the Houston location.

A number of GEC employees were presented with outstanding service awards and years-of-service recognition pins for the year.

Those recognized as peak performers for outstanding service included: Charlie White, customer service, and Jim Mason, sales representative – Richmond, Virginia; Tim Kirchner, customer service – Little Rock, Arkansas; Kevin Long, customer service – Kansas City, Missouri; Jim England (posthumously) and Bob Chandler, customer service – Indianapolis; Adam Ebbeler and Lennier Rollins, customer service – Houston; Donald Huntley, customer service – Atlanta; Robert Thistel, customer service – Orlando, Florida; Scott Nichols, integrated systems; Tracy Wells, sales representative; Nick Dodd, fabrication; Belinda Kujawinski, accounting; Michele Ridings, controller; Jose Verdejo and Mark Ellison, information technology; Christina Marvel, human resources – Dallas; and Richmond Branch Team, Richmond, Virginia.
