Georgia Clean Energy Roadshow highlights alternative fuel fleet vehicles
The 13th annual Georgia Clean Energy Roadshow educational series toured four cities throughout the state in June with stops in Savannah, Augusta, Peachtree City and Albany.
The four half-day events were designed for fleet operators, local government, industry and other community leaders. Each event featured a showcase of the latest clean energy technology, including propane vehicles.
This year’s events also highlighted federal and utility funding programs and emerging workforce development opportunities.
Georgia-based partners to present the latest advancements in commercial vehicles and the transportation industry included: Alliance AutoGas, Atlanta Gas Light, Blue Bird, Chateau Energy Solutions, Club Car, Georgia Power, Kia, MHC Kenworth, Peterbilt Trucks of Atlanta, the Propane Education & Research Council and the Georgia Department of Transportation.
The Blue Bird Vision propane bus was on display, highlighting the $5 billion in funding available to school systems through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean School Bus Program. Propane fleets were also showcased.
The Clean Energy Roadshow is the longest running mobile educational series for fleets in Georgia.
