Hatcher Insurance Group acquires Jamerson-McLean Corp.
Hatcher Insurance Group, a full-service insurance brokerage based in Orlando, Florida, acquired Jamerson-McLean Corp. (JMC), a specialized insurance agency with nearly 40 years of experience in serving propane dealers and energy companies along the East Coast of the United States.
The strategic acquisition combines JMC’s energy industry experience with Hatcher’s insurance solutions. JMC’s team of four insurance professionals join the Hatcher team as part of the merger.
“When my business partners, Cory Broadaway, William J. Palmer, and I purchased Hatcher four years ago, our goal was to build the next large, independently owned insurance agency that puts client centricity at the helm,” says Bryan Robertson, principal of Hatcher Insurance Group. “With the acquisition of JMC, we’re adding a strategic specialization in the fuel and energy space that has delivered the same approach to its existing long-term client base, with goals of expanding its resources even further.”
The merger marks another milestone in Hatcher’s growth, having expanded from five to over 32 team members across the state since its initial acquisition in 2020. JMC’s clients will maintain existing relationships with its current service teams while gaining access to Hatcher’s expanded portfolio of services, including commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits and surety and construction bonding.
“Our merger with Hatcher Insurance Group marks an exciting new chapter for our team, allowing us to expand our range of services while maintaining the high standards and personalized care our clients have come to expect,” says Gary McLean, president at JMC. “With their extensive expertise and shared commitment to customer service, this partnership will deliver competitive, customized insurance solutions that align with the industry’s evolving needs.”
