Hose reel reduces pulling effort

June 8, 2022 By

Bergquist Inc. offers the ME9000 series Excela-Wynd hose reel, supplied by Marshall Excelsior Co. (MEC). Weighing about 300 pounds, the hose reel’s spool dimensions are 17 in. wide by 25 in. in diameter. It can hold a hose of up to 150 ft. To install, a suitable mechanical fork truck, hoist or crane must lift, move and set the reel. The hose reel features an auto-wind hose return system and a variable speed controller, which maintains consistent walking speed and can be adjusted to suit driver preference or seasonal conditions. Its auto-push takes the effort of starting to pull the hose off of the driver, while its gimbal roller assembly reduces pulling effort, even on 90-degree side pulls. Two weather shield options are sold separately.
