Lakes Gas hires business development manager

Chris McGuire joined Lakes Gas as manager of business development.

He brings more than 10 years of experience in the propane industry and has worked in North Dakota, central Minnesota and northern Michigan. Prior to Lakes Gas, McGuire worked for Ferrellgas in various positions, including logistics supervisor, operations manager, director of operations and, most recently, general manager.

In his new role at Lakes Gas, he will be responsible for growth initiatives, acquisitions and routing efficiency.

“I’m very excited to be joining Lakes Gas and a family-owned business,” says McGuire. “We have numerous offices that are staffed with customer service representatives across the state of Minnesota and Wisconsin. I believe our focus on a strong local presence to better serve our customers is unique in these areas.”

Based in Wyoming, Minnesota, Lakes Gas supplies propane to residential and commercial customers in Michigan, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. It ranked as the 14th largest retailer in the country by gallon sales, according to the 2019 LP Gas Top Propane Retailer rankings.
