Mesa Power Solutions to invest $70M in new Wyoming manufacturing facility

Mesa Power Solutions, which designs, builds, installs and services distributed power systems enabling critical infrastructure, has increased its investment in domestic energy capabilities with the opening of a new manufacturing and administrative campus in Evansville, Wyoming.

The 220,000-sq.-ft facility will consolidate 300 existing employees and manufacture natural gas power generation equipment serving utility providers, energy companies, commercial enterprises and data center customers nationwide.

Mesa manufactures natural gas- and liquid propane-powered generator systems that can be used for prime power, standby power, microgrids and other applications. The company states its systems are engineered to operate in virtually any climate and incorporate advanced telemetry to provide customers with real-time operational information.

The company says the facility will generate a $200 million economic impact by 2030, and when combined with Mesa’s San Antonio operation, the company is capable of producing up to 2 gigawatts of power annually.

“Our investment in Wyoming is a direct result of the state’s commitment to increase energy production, industrial development and U.S. manufacturing,” says Scott Gromer, CEO of Mesa Solutions. “Our team will produce on-demand power generation equipment to help energy, technology and utility companies meet the needs of their customers in an age where downtime is not an option. The facility better positions us for continued growth, and it will provide a significant economic boost to the state.”

Supporting critical infrastructure

Mesa designs, builds, installs and services natural gas power systems. With in-house design, assembly and service capabilities, Mesa delivers lifecycle support trusted by critical infrastructure, such as data centers, utilities, healthcare providers and many other verticals, according to the company.
