MFA Oil elects 2 to board of directors
MFA Oil Co. named two members of its board of directors to three-year terms following elections at two of the company’s eight district delegate meetings in February and March.
Mike Moreland won reelection to the board representing the company’s West Central district, and Randy Pace was elected for the Mid-South district.
Moreland is a third-generation farmer of corn, soybeans and cattle with his brother and sons in Harrisonville, Missouri. He serves as a delegate to MFA Oil and was first elected to the board of directors in 2019.
Moreland is a past president and current member of the Missouri Corn Growers Association. He is the former chairman of the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council and has served on several committees of the National Corn Growers Association. He is a past president and current member of the Cass County Farm Bureau board. He was a member of Missouri Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers & Ranchers state committee, chairman of its dairy advisory committee and served on the American Farm Bureau dairy committee. He is a former board member and past chairman of the Cass County Soil and Water Conservation District.
Pace co-owns a diversified family farming operation in West Plains, Missouri, that includes beef cattle, 20,000-layer hens and commercial haying. He actively serves as an MFA Oil delegate.
After graduating from the University of Missouri in 1977, Pace worked in agriculture finance for 40 years with the Farm Credit System (FCS) in Arkansas and Missouri while farming part time. After retiring from FCS Financial in 2017, Pace expanded his farming. He serves on the Howell County Soil and Water Conservation District board of supervisors, the FCS Financial board of directors and as vice chairman of West Vue Nursing Home.
MFA Oil Co., formed in 1929, is a farmer-owned cooperative with more than 40,000 members. The company ranked No. 11 in the U.S. for highest retail propane gallon sales, according to the 2023 LP Gas Top Propane Retailers ranking.
The company supplies fuels, lubricants and propane to customers in Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Through a subsidiary, MFA Oil operates Break Time convenience stores in Missouri and a Big O Tires franchise in Missouri and Arkansas.
