Midland Manufacturing releases Gauge Device Online Tool

Midland Manufacturing’s new Gauge Device Online Tool is now available for use. Gauge devices are used to assist in the loading of rail cars, especially those that are tasked with transporting high-value and hazardous liquids. The device’s gauge rods are color-coded so that the operator knows when the tank is full and won’t become overfilled, which helps prevent product spills. To order a new gauge device or facilitate repairs for an existing unit, past efforts by tank-car manufacturers and repair shops required the user to download and manually fill out, then scan or print and email up to three separate documents to Midland. The new Gauge Device Online Tool allows that time-consuming process to be completed in a matter of minutes via a desktop computer or mobile device.
