Dan Binning named NPGA state director in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona


Three new state executives were welcomed during the 2016 National Propane Gas Association/Propane Education & Research Council Leadership Summit in Alexandria, Virginia.

Dan Binning is the new executive director of the Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico propane gas associations. Ben Rowe, account executive at Alliance Group Ltd., has been named executive director of the Virginia Propane Gas Association. In addition, Matt Solak, vice president at Kindsvatter, Dalling & Associates, was appointed as the executive director for the Pacific Propane Gas Association, which encompasses Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska.

In their new positions, Binning, Rowe and Solak will help to maintain organizational rosters, recruit membership, facilitate meetings, coordinate trainings and promote legislative advocacy for their respective state associations.

Binning now works full time as the executive director of the Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico propane gas associations. He also serves as a facilitator for NPGA’s Benchmarking Council. He previously worked at Kiva Energy as its territory manager since 2012 and helped to market wholesale propane to independent propane marketers. Prior to that, he worked for 13 years as a general manager at AmeriGas for the western region.

Rowe has been with the Alliance Group as its account manager for seven years. The company specializes in association management, fundraising, government affairs, public relations and social media. Rowe previously served as the director of the Virginia Grain Producers Association and assistant director of the Virginia Wine Council.

Solak has worked for Kindsvatter, Dalling & Associates since 2013. The firm provides association management for the Michigan Propane Gas Association and the Ohio Propane Gas Association. In the past, Solak has helped to lobby the Michigan legislature on behalf of the Michigan Propane Gas Association.
