NHTSA issues motor home recall

January 10, 2023 By

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall notice for 2022-23 Renegade Valencia motor homes manufactured by Kibbi LLC.

Up to 376 vehicles may be affected.

The service valves on the propane tanks may be improperly connected, which can cause a propane leak. A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of fire and tank ruptures. Leaking valves may be detected by smell, sound or loss of propane, according to the recall notice.

The valve provider was not aware of any reports of fire or injury related to the subject service valves as of late December.

Dealers will inspect and replace the service valves, as necessary, free of charge.

Owners may contact Kibbi’s customer service at 574-966-0196 or NHTSA at 888-327-4236 or nhtsa.gov.
