NPGA’s Women in Propane Council appoints new leaders

The National Propane Gas Association’s (NPGA) Women in Propane Council has announced its leadership for 2014.

Cindy Platz-Belmont, co-owner of Delta Liquid Energy, was named vice chair and Tracy Kirkman, part owner of Ehrhart Propane & Oil, was named treasurer. Jill Hopkins of Sheldon Gas is serving her second term as the council’s chair, while Nancy Coop of Ferrellgas is serving a second term as past chair.

The council’s committee leadership also will transition in the coming months. Lisa Gerwitz of Delta Liquid Energy will become vice chair of the programs and events committee when Kerri Essington of Ferrell North America becomes chair. Leslie McCraw of Ferrellgas has been named vice chair of the membership committee, which will be led by Lauren Clark of Bergquist. Kim Tucker of Griffith Energy Services and Paige O’Dell of AmeriGas will assume roles of past chairs of their respective committees and act as liaisons to the executive board.

In another council appointment, Hayley Karicofe of AmeriGas has been named chair of the marketing committee, responsible for marketing and advertising activities.

The council has grown to about 450 members since its launch in 2012.
