Paraco Gas acquires North Shore Bottled Gas

Paraco Gas, one of the nation’s largest privately held propane retailers, acquired North Shore Bottled Gas, expanding its footprint and service capabilities across New York.
“After many years of working closely with North Shore, we’re truly grateful for the opportunity to continue what they’ve built,” says Christina Armentano, COO and executive vice president of Paraco Gas. “We have great respect for their business and for family-owned companies that put people and community at the heart of everything they do.”
North Shore Bottled Gas was founded by Bob Burger in 1988. Under his leadership, the company has grown steadily, earning a reputation for outstanding service, safety and community commitment, according to Paraco Gas.
“I chose Paraco because they truly live and work in this business every day,” Burger says. “They don’t approach acquisitions as transactions, but as commitments. Paraco is deeply invested in the companies and communities they bring into their family. It’s a partnership grounded in trust and shared purpose.”
This move marks Paraco’s second acquisition of 2025. To date, Paraco has completed more than 60 acquisitions, with the majority being family-run propane companies that share the same values of safety, service and community focus, the company reports.
“We’re propane people acquiring propane companies,” Armentano adds. “We understand the business, the customers and the responsibility that comes with serving our communities. We don’t just acquire businesses; we run them, invest in them and carry their legacies forward.”
