Paraco Gas hires director of human resources

Sheila Rivera joined Paraco Gas as director of human resources.

She brings deep experience in the transportation industry and a track record of establishing high-performing teams and culture as a human resources executive, according to Paraco.

Prior to joining Paraco, Rivera spent 15 years in the household goods moving and storage sector.

“Rivera’s experience in the transportation industry means that she understands what motivates drivers and what they need to be safe, successful and fulfilled in their positions,” says Paraco. “At a time when driver shortages are making headlines across the country, retaining and attracting new drivers is incredibly important.”

Rivera’s responsibilities at Paraco include coaching, development, improved communications and the capacity to train employees on compliance-related policies and procedures. She is also managing all aspects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic by communicating and educating all Paraco employees with updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and education.
