PERC incentivizing purchase of six research products

April 16, 2013 By

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) has launched a nationwide research initiative called the Propane Heat & Power Incentive Program that’s designed to encourage the adoption of new energy-efficient, propane-fueled products by homeowners and business owners.

In exchange for reporting performance data on six qualifying products, participants can receive up to $10,000 toward the purchase of premium generator sets, micro-combined heat and power (micro-CHP) systems, and pest control heat treatment technology. Business owners and homeowners can apply for up to two qualifying products. Feedback will be used to supplement future product development and research.

The six featured products in the program are the Kohler 6VSG and Generac EcoGen 6-kilowatt generators; Marathon Ecopower, Yanmar CP5WN and Yanmar CP10WN micro-CHP systems; and the Temp-Air thermal remediation pest control system.
