Phoenix Park Energy Marketing buys NGL marketer

March 17, 2020 By

Phoenix Park Gas Processors Ltd. (PPGPL), through its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, Phoenix Park Energy Marketing (PPEM), acquired the natural gas liquids (NGL) marketing assets of Twin Eagle Liquids Marketing, based in Houston. The entity markets, trades and transports NGLs – including propane – in Canada, the United States and Mexico via rail.

PPGPL, headquartered in Trinidad and Tobago, is the only NGL hub in the Caribbean involved in natural gas processing, fractionating, aggregation and NGLs marketing. The company is pursuing a strategy to internationalize the business and grow along the energy value chain.

As part of its international growth strategy, PPGPL and all of its subsidiaries will be operating under the new brand Phoenix Park, which represents the company’s positioning for further growth beyond processing and along the energy value chain.

PPEM has retained key personnel from Twin Eagle Liquids Marketing to aid in the transition. Donnie Schubert, former vice president of Twin Eagle Liquids Marketing, has been appointed president of PPEM. He will be responsible for expanding the business beyond its current base.
