December 16, 2021 By

Irving, Texas-based Pinnacle Propane, a division of SHV Energy, purchased two companies based in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area: United Propane and Collins Propane.

The acquisition includes 100 percent of each company’s assets and customer base.

“The acquisition will add 15,000 customers to our portfolio and substantially strengthen our leading position in the fast-growing Texan market,” says Michael Kossack, management board member and COO of SHV Energy. “It is a perfect fit with our ambitious growth strategy for the U.S.”

United Propane is a full-service propane provider for residential, commercial and industrial propane users.

Based in Wylie, Texas, Collins Propane is a locally owned and operated business serving residential and commercial customers.

In an internal announcement, Gino Vansteenhuyse, CEO of Pinnacle Propane, says, “I look forward to working together with all our new colleagues from United Propane and Collins Propane. Together, we will make sure we continue to provide the best service to our customers.”

Pinnacle currently operates in nine southern U.S. states. The company completed 14 acquisitions in the past few years.
