Power Solutions International names CFO
Power Solutions international Inc. (PSI) appointed Charles “Chip” F. Avery Jr. as its CFO.
Avery will replace Timothy J. Cunningham as company’s CFO. Cunningham will remain with PSI as an adviser to ensure a smooth transition and to assist the company’s financial audit and restatement activities.
Avery has about 30 years of experience working in finance, information technology and strategic leadership in industrial, manufacturing, distribution and consumer products industries. According to the company, Avery has expertise in strategic planning and analysis, financial and SEC reporting, internal controls, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations and information technology.
“Chip brings a strong track record of financial and IT leadership and has significant public company experience within the industrial and manufacturing space, which will serve to strengthen our leadership team,” says John Miller, president and CEO of PSI. “We look forward to utilizing his broad business experience as we complete the financial audit and restatement, execute on our strategic collaboration with Weichai Power and seek future profitable growth opportunities.”
Prior to working for PSI, Avery was the CFO, vice president, finance and treasurer at FreightCar America Inc. from 2013 until 2016. He has also served as the vice president, corporate controller and chief information officer for Federal Signal Corp.
