What’s up, and what’s new?

Hennen is in her sixth year at Lakes Gas and just turned 30 this past August. She credits her current position and leadership style to her manager, Lakes Gas CEO Trent Hampton, who she says took a chance on her when she was only 24.

Hennen says one of her goals is ensuring that young people and women in the industry have a community to lean on to help them succeed.

In 2022, she was named the Young Woman of the Year by the World Liquid Gas Association. In 2023, she pitched a new council idea to the National Propane Gas Association Executive Committee. It was approved, and the Young Professionals Council launched the following year.
