Rochester Sensors acquires Tekelek

June 8, 2023 By

Rochester Sensors, a designer and manufacturer of liquid level sensors and gauges, acquired the stock of Tekelek Europe Ltd.

The acquisition of Tekelek is part of a multi-year strategy to expand Rochester’s technical portfolio and footprint to create a global, diversified liquid level sensor business. Rochester has now acquired four companies in the liquid level sensor space.

Founded in 1995, Tekelek designs and sells a wide range of liquid level sensors and brings expertise in non-contact ultrasound and free-space radar technology (hardware and firmware), including certified hazardous location devices. Tekelek also provides Rochester remote monitoring capability via cellular (CAT-M/NB-IoT) and LoRa products. These products are particularly valuable for refined fuels delivery logistics software providers. Tekelek’s hardware can expand and support the scope of their services.

“We are excited about the acquisition of Tekelek as it provides us with wireless sensor technologies supporting software platforms that drive delivery and logistics efficiencies,” says Ben Lease, president at Rochester Sensors. “Tekelek’s existing customer base will benefit from the combined company’s extensive resources in liquid level sensor measurement, including additional products and deep design and engineering expertise. We look forward to continuing to serve the Tekelek customer base with high-quality products.”
