SecuraTrac, a provider of mobile health and safety solutions, introduced the next generation mPERS mobile emergency pendant, the MobileDefender Model S (MD-S). The updated model is developed on the same platform as the MobileDefender. The MD-S relays information about employee locations while providing them with constant connection to help if an emergency occurs, the company says. The MD-S is equipped with a fall advisory capability, which can detect horizontal and vertical movement. If an employee falls on the job, a call for help is automatically triggered. The MD-S also adds the ability for central stations to respond to potential accidents, according to SecuraTrac. The battery on the device has the ability to last over 30 days, SecuraTrac says.
