Superior Energy Systems to display transloader at Propane Expo

Superior Energy Systems’ transloaders, or portable rail towers, are constructed for maximized safety and efficiency when transferring propane and other natural gas liquids (NGLs) between rail cars, tanker trucks and bulk plants, according to the company. Built to U.S. Department of Transportation safety requirements, the transloaders are custom-manufactured for specific applications and can transfer up to 10,000 gallons of product in less than 30 minutes. Superior Energy Systems will display a transloader at the National Propane Gas Association Southeastern & International Propane Expo April 4-6 at the Charlotte Convention Center in North Carolina. The transloader will be shown in the company’s booth, #644, and features remote emergency shutdown, four leveling jacks for stability, a Corken compressor and the ability to customize based on customer needs such as a generator power source or specific stingers and gangways. Each transloader can be chassis- or trailer-mounted and is compliant with all applicable National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) codes, including NFPA 58. Each transloader includes both remote pneumatic and electronic shutdown; low-entry and high-exit pressure shutdown; pull-away protection for both the railcar and truck; and quick evacuation connections. The transloaders also feature explosion-proof components and quick evacuation connections.
