Vanguard releases propane conversion kits

Vanguard showcased its propane conversion kits, along with its new 200 and 400 single-cylinder horizontal shaft commercial engine line, at World of Concrete in Las Vegas. The kits allow customers to take advantage of the benefits of propane with their current Vanguard-powered commercial equipment, manufactured by Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power. Available through Propane Power Systems (PPS), the kits were developed specifically for Vanguard, are EPA and CARB certified and have a three-year commercial warranty. According to Vanguard, propane conversion kits and engines can be purchased at PPS and installed at the equipment manufacturer or at the dealer. Once the engines are converted to propane, PPS becomes the official manufacturer of record.
