Women in Propane trade show events facilitate networking, training
The National Propane Gas Association’s (NPGA) Women in Propane Council (WiP) released its official Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo event schedule.
In conjunction with the expo, held April 13-15 in Atlanta, the council will host a variety of events to facilitate networking opportunities, begin a dialogue on the importance of mentoring in the propane industry and provide practical skills for public presentations.
“The feedback we received from WiP members made it clear that our focus should be on helping our members be more present in the propane industry,” says Jill Hopkins, council chair from Sheldon Gas, in a press release. “Many of the women, and men, in WiP have been part of the propane industry for years, yet still desire to expand their networks and sharpen their skills.”
Council programming this year focuses on helping attendees feel more confident speaking in front of groups, as well as providing them with opportunities to expand their existing networks, Hopkins says.
