MFA Oil acquires two Kansas retailers

MFA Oil acquired Chanute, Kansas-based Chanute LP Gas Inc. and Severy, Kansas-based Tri-Star Propane Inc.

“These businesses fit well with our expanding operational footprint in Kansas and will enhance our ability to provide premium services and products to customers in the area,” says Jon Ihler, MFA Oil vice president of sales and marketing. “The owners of Chanute LP Gas and Tri-Star Propane have built great businesses with excellent reputations and we are honored to have the opportunity to carry on their traditions.”

The acquisition aligns with MFA Oil’s efforts to grow its business in the eastern region of Kansas, says the company. Overall, the acquisitions represent the sixth and seventh the company has made during the 2017 fiscal year.
