LP Gas launches distributor golf tour

May 2, 2013 By

LP Gas is taking its longstanding propane industry golf outing on the road, teaming with equipment distributors around the country to launch its new LP Gas Distributor Tour. The magazine will partner with equipment distributors that hold an open house, organizing a golf outing for their attendees as well as for other propane industry employees who do not attend the open house.

LP Gas has hosted a propane industry golf outing for nearly 30 years. Former Editor Zane Chastain started the event in 1985 as a way to bring propane retailers and suppliers together in a relaxed atmosphere following the winter heating season. That tradition will continue with the distributor tour.

“We’re really excited about the changes we’ve made to our golf outing,” says LP Gas Publisher Brian Kanaba. “Instead of asking the propane industry to come to our outing in Florida, we’re taking the outing to the industry. The LP Gas Distributor Tour will give us the opportunity to put on a great golf event for the industry, with distributors, manufacturers and marketers already in one location.”

The first stop on the tour takes place in conjunction with the Ray Murray Inc. Open House and Trade Show. The open house is scheduled for June 4 at Ray Murray’s location in Lee, Mass., while the golf outing will follow on June 5 at the Cranwell Resort, Spa, and Golf Club in Lenox, Mass.

Golfers will compete in a four-man scramble, featuring more than $1,000 in prizes. The cost to participate is $125 for individuals and $450 for a foursome. For more information or to reserve your space, contact Ryan Bockmuller of LP Gas at 216-706-3772 or rbockmuller@northcoastmedia.net.
