Cetane Associates promotes Trey Brasseaux to vice president

Cetane Associates promoted Trey Brasseaux, who joined the firm in 2023, to vice president. Brasseaux will lead Cetane’s financial team in his new role.

“Trey has already made a meaningful impact with both colleagues and clients,” says Barrett Conway, managing director and principal of Cetane. “His expertise, attention to detail and client-focused approach have been instrumental in supporting our continued growth. He is an outstanding asset to our expanding team.”

Brasseaux has over eight years of client advisory experience in financial roles with professional services firms. Prior to joining Cetane, he served as an associate at J Wolf and Co., an investment bank focused on raising capital for acquisitions in the lower middle market. He also spent five years at Opportune, providing finance and accounting advisory services to private and public energy clients across multiple sectors.

Brasseaux holds bachelor’s degrees in business honors and finance and a master’s in financial management from Texas A&M University. He also holds FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.

Cetane is a provider of financial advisory services to business owners in home services industries. Clients engage Cetane to advise on sales, spinoffs and acquisitions, as well as perform valuation and ad hoc corporate finance assignments.
