Women in Propane (WIP) appointed Jessica Balderston as the new co-host of its podcast, “Through the Leadership Lens.” Balderston brings a wealth of industry insight and leadership experience to the role as the co-owner of Rural Computer Consultants and co-chair of WIP’s Program and Events Committee.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to join the podcast as a co-host,” says Balderston. “This platform is such a powerful space for meaningful conversations, and I’m excited to connect with inspiring guests, share impactful stories and grow alongside our amazing listeners.”

WIP, an official business council of the National Propane Gas Association, launched the podcast in 2022. Each episode focuses on improving the propane industry for everyone through leadership discussions.

Balderston, a 2024 LP Gas Rising Leader, steps into the co-hosting role following the two-year tenure of Bridget Kidd, who served as co-host from October 2022 to April 2025. According to the organization, her humor and authenticity helped shape the podcast into a space for meaningful conversations and leadership storytelling within the propane industry.

“As ‘Through the Leadership Lens’ moves into its next chapter, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Bridget Kidd,” says Freddie Ridler, chair of the Podcast Committee and current co-host. “Bridget and I embarked on this podcasting adventure, and I will cherish the memories we’ve created. I’ll miss her wit, her wisdom and even the unpredictable appearances of her dogs. But most of all, I’ll miss her. Thank you, Bridget, for sharing your heart and your humor with me and our listeners.”

As the podcast continues to highlight inspiring stories of leadership and innovation in propane, Jessica’s passion for connection and commitment to advancing women in the industry promises to bring fresh energy to the mic.
