EDP adds Chris DeFilippo to corporate development team
EDP, based in Chicago, selected Chris DeFilippo as vice president of corporate development.
DeFilippo spent seven years in multiple roles at AmeriGas, including acquisitions manager and marketing director, engaging in mergers and acquisitions and internal marketing efforts. He later joined Superior Plus Propane, where he spent eight years serving as vice president of corporate development. DeFilippo has closed on more than 35 successful transactions.

In addition to his corporate roles with AmeriGas and Superior Plus Propane, DeFilippo has been an active member in the propane industry. He currently serves on the Propane Education & Research Council and served as the chairman from 2023 to 2025.
DeFilippo graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and received his master’s from Duke University.

EDP serves more than 200,000 customers in 24 states, with a presence in rural America as well as in major metropolitan areas. According to the company, it sold more than 120 million gallons of propane and light fuels in 2024. Since its inception in 2012, EDP has assisted in 44 mergers and acquisitions.
