Bottini Fuel acquires Putnam Propane Gas, Putnam Energy

Bottini Fuel of Wappingers Falls, New York, purchased Putnam Propane Gas Inc. and Putnam Energy Inc., privately held, family-owned propane and heating oil companies serving the Hudson Valley. Blue Peak Resources, a mergers and acquisitions consulting firm serving the propane and fuel oil industry, announced the sale.

Bottini Fuel is a family-owned energy services company serving customers throughout the Hudson Valley with a focus on reliable fuel delivery, responsive customer service and long-term relationships. The acquisition of the Putnam companies expands Bottini’s regional presence and strengthens its ability to serve residential and commercial customers.

Putnam Propane Gas and Putnam Energy, headquartered in Carmel, New York, distribute propane and heating oil to residential and commercial customers throughout the Hudson Valley. Since their founding in 2000, the companies have built a reputation for operational reliability, customer-focused service, safety and community engagement, Blue Peak Resources says.

Under owners and brothers Bob and Greg Sleight, the Putnam companies have combined operational efficiency and service excellence with the personalized attention of a family-owned business, Blue Peak adds. Both owners are expected to remain with the company in mutually agreed-upon roles following the transaction.

According to Blue Peak Resources, the transaction brings together two established family-owned businesses with complementary strengths, building on Putnam’s longstanding customer relationships, reputation for service and experienced team as it joins Bottini Fuel’s broader platform.
