Arkansas Gas of Lexa, Arkansas, joined the Headwaters Holdings family of companies.

Headwaters Holdings is a locally owned company held by J. Hardy Thompson that provides energy solutions throughout eastern Arkansas. In addition to Arkansas Gas, it includes Arkansas propane retailer Island Energy as well as Clearstream, which delivers wholesale propane, refined fuels and transportation services to commercial customers throughout the Mid-South region.

“The addition of Arkansas Gas marks another important step in our continued growth while strengthening our commitment to the communities we serve,” Headwaters Holdings shares in a company statement.

The Headwaters Holdings family includes:

  • Island Energy – providing propane service across northeastern Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel.
  • Arkansas Gas – serving customers in the southern Arkansas Delta and beyond.
  • Clearstream — delivering wholesale propane, refined fuels and transportation services to commercial customers throughout the Mid-South region.

“While our family of companies continues to grow, our values remain the same: local ownership, personal relationships, dependable service and a commitment to the communities we call home,” Headwaters Holdings adds. “We are excited to welcome the employees, customers and communities of Arkansas Gas to the Headwaters Holdings family and look forward to further establishing the strong reputation they have built over the years.”
