Appomattox Propane Services has been sold to Holtzman Propane, allowing the company to continue serving its customers and communities under new ownership. B&A Energy Partners, a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory firm focused on the propane industry, advised Appomattox Propane throughout the transaction.

“Appomattox Propane Services would like to thank B&A Energy Partners for their expertise in getting our business sold quickly and efficiently,” says Josh Mills, the company’s former owner. “We are also thankful that B&A Energy Partners was able to find Holtzman Propane to take over, as they will continue to serve our customers well in the future.”

The two companies worked through the evaluation, due diligence and closing process together to keep the transition on track.

Derek Ashmore, a partner at B&A Energy Partners, says the transaction went smoothly because both sides approached the process with professionalism and responsiveness. “Appomattox Propane was well prepared, and the Holtzman Propane team was thoughtful and decisive throughout due diligence and closing,” says Ashmore. “That cooperation allowed us to address issues quickly, keep the transaction moving and reach an outcome that worked well for everyone involved.”

B&A Energy Partners is an M&A advisory firm that works exclusively with propane companies, helping owners prepare for a sale, evaluate buyers, and negotiate and close deals.
