ADD Systems (Advanced Digital Data Inc.) is celebrating its 50th anniversary in business.

The company serves more than 500 clients and has more than 150 employees with offices in the U.S. and Canada.

“I’m happy to have been part of the first 50 years,” says Bruce C. Bott, the founder’s son and ADD Systems’ current president. “I’m looking forward to another 50 years. Thank you to a spectacular staff and to so many clients that have made all this possible.”

The fuel management software automates the process of predicting fuel deliveries and helps businesses in the energy distribution, petroleum, HVAC and c-store industries. Founded in 1973 by the late Bruce A. Bott, ADD Systems was built to improve the way energy distributors operate.

ADD Systems grew organically for 24 years before three acquisitions:

  • 1997: The petroleum division of STS, located in Montreal, Quebec.
  • 1999: The petroleum software division of EDS (formerly known as PSS), based in Orlando, Florida.
  • 2005: The petroleum division of Versyss in Providence, Rhode Island.

“The 50-year anniversary of ADD Systems is a major milestone. This would not have been possible without the support of our great customers, the dedication of the employees and the vision initially set by the founders,” says Rob Culbertson, COO and senior vice president. “Being in business for 50 years is an accomplishment that we are all very proud of. We’ve been able to navigate through decades of changes, coming out of each bigger, stronger and poised to handle both the good times and the bad times. We want to thank everyone that made this possible, from day one to the present.”

ADD Systems’ software solutions include ADD Energy E3 and ADD Energy E360 back office software, ADD eStore back and home office convenience store software, Atlas Reporting business intelligence, Raven and Pegasus mobile delivery and service computers, and SmartConnect, a web services gateway.
