Allgas purchases Mor-Gas
Allgas Inc., a Gardendale, Alabama, company, has purchased the propane assets of Mor-Gas Inc. of Pisgah, Alabama.
B&A Energy Partners announced the sale.
Mor-Gas has served customers in northeastern Alabama for 54 years, having been in business since 1970. Allgas, founded in 1956, delivers liquefied petroleum gas throughout the mid-South and operates more than 70 satellite bulk storage facilities in addition to its Gardendale headquarters.
“Partnering with B&A Energy Partners made the process simple, transparent, and the outcome was better than we expected,” says Shirley Moore Knight, former owner of Mor-Gas. “We were able to keep running the company while they managed the details of the sale. Benny Gay was always available to assist and guide us through every step.”
B&A Energy Partners is an acquisitions firm that represents propane business owners looking to sell their companies. Led by former propane industry executives, B&A Energy only represents sellers. B&A Energy has offices in New Braunfels, Texas; Dothan, Alabama; and Denver.
“Thank you to the Moore family for trusting us with this transaction,” B&A Energy Partners states in a press release. “Thank you to Allgas for a timely and smooth acquisition. Allgas has acquired a well-established, family-oriented northern Alabama business.“
