Alliance AutoGas engineered port fuel direct injection (PFDI) conversion systems for the 2018 Ford F-150 in 3.3-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 engines.

According to the company, the technology features autogas as the primary fuel, while utilizing gasoline as a combustion lubricant. Stephen Holland, director of engineering for Blossman Services Inc., says his team noticed a shift in original equipment manufacturer technology several years ago as manufacturers began to implement PFDI engines in small cars, and knew it was important for the company to begin engineering an autogas solution quickly.

According to Alliance AutoGas, the propane-PFDI (P-PFDI) conversion system affords autogas fleets the following benefits: Reliability, emissions reduction, range, proven OE hardware and support. Each P-PFDI outfitted vehicle comes with a five year, 100,000-mile warranty.
