American Welding & Tank to increase prices on new tanks

March 10, 2011 By

American Welding & Tank LLC (AWT) is raising prices between 7 percent and 15 percent on all new tanks, effective for orders placed after Feb. 28, the company announced. “The increases in raw materials and energy make these changes necessary,” said Jim Alderman, director of marketing for AWT, citing double-digit increases to the price of steel and higher transportation costs. The company’s renewed tank program will enable customers to offset higher prices through the AWT RENEWED tank refurbishment program, Alderman said. AWT encourages customers to contact their field sales representative with questions on the increases and available strategies for total tank asset planning needs.
