Gage

A retired certified public accountant (CPA), Gage used his wealth of business knowledge to fuel his entrepreneurial desire. After he retired in 1991, he purchased Indiana-based Brindle Products, a tank truck supply company that he ran with several members of his family.

At the time of Gage’s purchase, Brindle Products was mainly a tank trailer company since its founding in 1951, but it expanded its product and service offerings over the years. It now offers reel and pole trailers, propane cylinder cages and dispensing cabinets, among other products.

The company, with locations in Grabill, Indiana, and Bowie, Texas, designs and builds cylinder, crane and service utility trucks to customer specifications and features.

An Indiana native, Gage spent much of his life as a CPA. According to his obituary, he took his accounting work seriously. He put those skills to work at Brindle Products, where he spent the rest of his years in retirement.

Gage owned Brindle Products with his son, Joe Gage.

Funeral services for Gage, who served in the U.S. Air Force, were held in early December. Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the Indiana CPA Society or to Luminary Hospice.
