The propane recall affects a variety of consumers.

Crescent Point Energy Corp., a Canadian producer, issued a recall for 118 million gallons of propane that was distributed in the United States lacking sufficient levels of odorant.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the underodorized propaneĀ from Crescent Point Energy was delivered by retailers to consumers in the United States. Underodorized propane was also sold to businesses for commercial and industrial use.

No incidents have been reported. The propane sold was distributed between April 2009 and October 2015 across several states, including Arizona, Idaho, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin and Utah. Additional affected product was sold in Canada, the commission says.

Consumers in these states are encouraged to contact their retailer, supplier or a Crescent Point Energy hotline to arrange for an inspection.
