CHS acquires Minnesota-based retailer

CHS Inc. purchased Starbuck, Minn.-based Lucky’s Propane Inc.

Lucky’s Propane owners Randy and Jackie Elmer decided to retire and sell the propane business after 12 years of service. Formed in 2004, Lucky’s Propane provided propane to residential, commercial and agricultural customers in the Douglas County, Minn., area.

Lucky’s Propane will now become part of CHS Prairie Lakes, a full-service agricultural retail business for CHS based in Starbuck. According to The Daily Journal, customers should expect a smooth transition to the new business model with few changes in day-to-day service.
