Clean Fuels Ohio to host Midwest Green Transportation Forum & Expo

August 19, 2020 By

Clean Fuels Ohio will showcase the clean transportation technology industry’s advances and opportunities during the annual Midwest Green Transportation Forum & Expo, scheduled to run virtually Sept. 14-25.

The forum and expo will be conducted through Whova, a networking and event app. After registering for the event, attendees will:

  • Download the Whova app to a smart device from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Sign up to the Whova app using an email and password.
  • Or access the app online via a desktop or laptop computer.

Registration for general attendance is free and attendee participation is customizable. This year’s event will have no instances of simultaneous panels, event organizers say, and content will be hosted on the app/site for six months after the close of the forum and expo.

“We have a roster of 115 speakers lined up to present 30 panels over the course of 10 business days,” says Sam Spofforth, executive director of Clean Fuels Ohio. “From big-picture sessions, to policy, EVs, autogas, natural gas and more, there will be plenty of cutting-edge information to take in.”

Sessions are scheduled to run virtually from 10:30 a.m.-noon, 1-2 p.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m. daily. Networking breaks, select stakeholder meetings and virtual exhibit hall tours are built into the agenda.

“The use of a digital networking space sets the Midwest Green Transportation Forum & Expo apart this year,” says Brendan Kelley, director of Drive Electric Ohio and Clean Fuels Ohio. “Attendees can connect on a community feed board, much like the one on Facebook, where people can ask questions, send direct messages to other attendees and even host virtual hangouts in the app for up to 30 people.”

Whova has a virtual exhibitor hall feature where interested attendees can purchase a virtual exhibit space, to highlight and sell their products and services. This allows exhibitors to network as a business, not just as an individual, event organizers note.

Additional information about the conference app or this year’s conference can be found on its FAQ page.
