EDP acquires Lykins Energy Solutions

EDP purchased the propane assets of Lykins Energy Solutions, a division of World Fuel Services, located in southwestern Ohio.

EDP will operate the business as Lykins Propane from an office in Milford, Ohio.

The Lykins Propane office is located about 30 miles northeast of Cincinnati. Three satellite storage facilities in Milford, Mount Orab and Hamilton, Ohio, provide residential, commercial and agricultural propane service to more than 3,000 customers. All local Lykins Energy Solutions propane employees have joined EDP.

Lykins Energy Solutions was founded in 1948 and earned a reputation as a reliable multi-fuel service provider, according to EDP.

The acquisition of Lykins Energy Solutions is EDP’s 37th transaction.

Chicago-based EDP provides propane service to residential and commercial customers in 21 states. The company says it is actively seeking to expand its national footprint and diversify through the addition of new retail propane and light fuels operations.
