The Chicago chapter of FEI says Janek’s skills in effectively and efficiently growing EDP’s business, integrating acquisitions, raising capital, managing investor relationships and building a collaborative culture of high-performing people were reasons for the honor.

“This award is not about any one person, but about the effort of a truly collaborative group of people,” Janek says. “More than a hard-working group that can deliver quality results in a timely fashion, they do so with the highest integrity – and for the good of the company – putting the team first, rather than any one individual’s goals.”

Since joining the company in 2014, Janek has guided Chicago-based EDP through 16 of its over 20 acquisitions.

“We couldn’t be prouder of Mark’s accomplishments at EDP,” says Tom Knauff, CEO of EDP. “He’s truly representative of the team and culture we’re building at EDP as a fast-growing energy company.”
