Eighth annual Pros4Care golf outing set for October

Stonebridge Country Club in McKinney, Texas, will host the eighth annual Pros4Care golf event Oct. 18-19. The benefit will also include a motorcycle ride for the first time.

Pros4Care launched in the propane industry as a group dedicated to creating awareness of prostate cancer and supporting research to find a cure. Participation has expanded to the overall gas and oil business, as well as to other industries.

All event proceeds will go toward the Prostate Cancer Foundation. To date, the event has raised more than $250,000 for the organization.

The 50-mile motorcycle ride, which takes place Oct. 18, will feature riders from across north Texas, and celebrity riders are expected to attend.

The golf tournament, which has received support from corporate sponsors, including Major League Baseball, takes place Oct. 19. A Thom Shepherd concert will close the event at the McKinney VFW Post.
