Ferrellgas COO, CFO terminate employment; interim officers named

December 3, 2018 By

Ferrellgas appointed Bryan Wright as interim COO and Bill Ruisinger as interim CFO following the decisions by the COO and CFO to voluntarily terminate their employment with the company.

Trenton D. Hampton, senior vice president and COO, and Doran N. Schwartz, senior vice president, CFO and treasurer, agreed to voluntarily terminate their employment with Ferrellgas Inc., the general partner of Ferrellgas Partners LP and Ferrellgas LP.

Ferrellgas says the voluntary terminations were not a result of any disagreement with the Ferrellgas independent auditors or any member of management on any matter of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure or internal controls.

Ferrellgas announced the changes in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing. The company declined to comment further.

Wright, 47, has been with Ferrellgas for 19 years and currently serves as a region vice president. Prior to serving in that position, Wright held various positions within the operations of Ferrellgas. Ruisinger, 44, has been with Ferrellgas for six years and currently serves as the general partner’s vice president, treasury, investor relations and planning. Prior to serving in that position, Ruisinger held various positions serving the office of the CFO.

Also noted in the SEC filing, the board of directors of the general partner determined on Nov. 26 that Ferrellgas Partners will suspend quarterly cash distributions to holders of its common units for the quarter ended Oct. 31 and indefinitely thereafter. The company says it is actively exploring all options with respect to future unitholder distributions.
