Ferrellgas purchases Rez-Bear Propane

Overland Park, Kansas-based Ferrellgas acquired Rez-Bear Propane of Harris, New York.

Rez-Bear Propane has served customers in Sullivan, Orange and eastern Ulster counties since 2016. Over the past six years, founders Randy Resnick and Bobby Mapes have grown the company with a focus on exceptional service from a well-trained and long-tenured staff.

Resnick and Mapes will now focus their attention on their other non-propane business entities, which were not part of the sale and will remain independently run under their individual leadership.

“Ferrellgas is the right company to continue what we started. Our customers and our employees will be in great hands with Ferrellgas,” Mapes says.

Blue Peak Resources, a consulting firm specializing in propane gas and fuel oil mergers and acquisitions, advised Rez-Bear Propane on the sale.
