Flo-Gas Corp. acquires Chipola Propane Gas Co.

Flo-Gas Corp., a propane subsidiary of Florida Public Utilities Co. (FPU), purchased the propane assets of Chipola Propane Gas Co., a propane company based in Marianna, Florida.

Chipola Propane Gas provides propane service to about 800 residential and commercial accounts in Jackson, Calhoun, Gadsden, Liberty, Bay and Washington Counties. The acquisition will expand FPU’s propane services to residents within the Marianna region, says the company.

“We are very excited to grow our propane presence in northwest Florida as we continue to expand the scope of our services in this community,” says Kevin Webber, vice president of FPU. “We look forward to continuing to provide safe, reliable and affordable energy services in the region.”
