Gray, Gray & Gray opens 2026 propane survey
Gray, Gray & Gray, a business consulting and accounting firm serving the heating oil and propane industry, has launched its 35th annual Energy & Propane Industry Survey, now open to energy marketers nationwide. The survey must be completed by June 10. Results are expected to be released in September.
The annual survey provides widely recognized benchmarking data on operational, management and financial performance – helping energy and propane companies compare results, identify trends and plan strategically. This year’s survey is supported by respected industry organizations, the company says, which will help expand benchmarking capabilities to assist with long-term planning.
“Our annual Energy & Propane Industry Survey establishes industry benchmarks for the performance indicators that matter most,” says Marty Kirshner, CPA, MSA, partner at Gray, Gray & Gray and head of the firm’s Energy Practice Group. “Its value comes from real-world data shared by those managing the day-to-day realities of running and growing energy and propane companies.”
Eligible individuals who complete the 2026 Gray, Gray & Gray Energy & Propane Industry Survey in full will receive a $10 coffee gift card as a thank you. Participants may also opt to enter a random drawing for one of two airline gift certificates valued at $1,000 and $500.
Gray, Gray & Gray has served the energy industry since its founding in 1945. As consolidation reshapes the accounting profession, the firm says, it continues to differentiate itself, citing its 81-year history of success as proof of the value of a people-first approach and long-standing industry specialization.
Gray, Gray & Gray is ranked among the country’s Top 200 accounting firms by INSIDE Public Accounting magazine, which also named it to its “Best of the Best” list as one of the nation’s best-managed firms. The firm has been lauded as a Regional Leader by Accounting Today, was named to the Boston Business Journal’s 2025 “Fast50” list of the fastest growing companies in the region, ranked among New England’s Fastest-Growing companies by the Boston Globe and honored as one of the Fastest Growing companies in the Americas by the Financial Times.
